Dive into a Magical Mermaid Cupcake Decorating Party!
Make a splash with our enchanting mermaid-themed cupcake decorating masterclass — perfect for little sea explorers aged 6 and up! We’ll guide your party guests to create a stunning box of 4 cupcakes to take home, all inspired by the wonders of the ocean.
From shimmering seashell toppers made from fondant to waves of beautifully piped buttercream in ocean blues, purples, and greens, your guests will learn how to decorate their own freshly baked vanilla sponge cupcakes like true mermaid artists.
This booking is for 8 children, including the party child. We can accommodate up to 12 little mermaids and mermen — additional children are charged at £25 per child. Just add a note with your request when booking.
Hosted in our Academy above the Caversham store, all decorating equipment is provided, and every child will leave with their own packaged box of 4 mermaid-inspired cupcakes.
The decorating session lasts 1.5 hours, followed by 30 minutes for your own party food and drinks. Want to make it extra special? We can provide magical ocean-themed afternoon teas, these can be ordered here- Children's Afternoon Tea Boxes – BKRY
Available Saturdays: 1–3pm or 4–6pm and Wednesdays 4-6pm. Select your date at checkout.

Can I have a theme?
Sure! Just pop a theme request in the notes. We've done everything from flowers or mermaids, to Harry Potter or Taylor Swift!
Can I bring food & drinks?
Absolutely, you can bring your own food drinks, order in a pizza or we can provide you with a quote for afternoon tea boxes to match your theme.
Should I order a birthday cake?
You are welcome to order a cake from us, you are also able to bring a candle & sing happy birthday with your child's beautiful cupcake cake creations!
Do I need to provide boxes to take the cakes home in?
No, all packaging will be provided.
A party guest has a food allergy, what should I do?
Just let us know, as a busy bakery we cannot guarantee anything to be allergy free but we can provide cakes & buttercream free from allergen containing ingredients.
Can I invite more than 8 children?
Yes, we can accommodate a maximum of 12 children. Extra children are charged at £25 per child. Please pop extra child requests in your order notes.
Do parents need to stay?
Just the party child's parents to stay please.
Where do we park?
You can find 3 hours free parking on the Iceland side of the Waitrose Carpark. Alternatively you can pay for parking in Chester Street Carpark.
