Children's Bento Cake Sundays
For creative kids aged 8+
By popular demand, we are now offering our Children's Bento Class at BKRY Academy on the first Sunday of every month! Children (and parents, if you wish) will join us for a fun and interactive baking session where they will start by crumb coating a 4" vanilla bento cake using our signature American vanilla buttercream. Next, they will create fondant shapes to decorate their cake. Finally, they will learn how to colour buttercream and apply it to achieve a perfect smooth finish.
And the best part? Each baker gets to take their beautifully decorated Bento cake home to show off and of course, to enjoy!
Please note that adults may only attend if accompanied by a child, and each participant must have their own booked place.

Where are the classes held?
All classes are in our Academy above our shop in Caversham
Will my child take their creations home?
Yes! Your child will come home with their bakes safely packaged
Is there parking?
Public parking is available in the Waitrose/Iceland
Do I need to stay while they are doing the class?
This is a drop off class. Unless an accompanying parent has also booked their own space on the class
Does my child need to bring anything?
We recommend bringing a bottle of water along
Please note, our Academy is upstairs, please let us know of any issues with physical accessibility for your child
Our teachers are qualified primary school teachers and experienced in supporting many different children. If you anticipate your child needing extra support please do let us know
